On August 19, 2025, Local 1929 President Zak Montes met with Homeland Security Commissioner Kristi Noem, U.S. Border Patrol Chief Michael W. Banks, and El Paso Sector Chief Walter N. Slosar to discuss border security issues affecting the brave men and women of the Border Patrol.
