If you go on LWOP for any reason, automatic deductions will stop and after three pay periods, your union membership will discontinue and you will have a lapse in coverage. As a result, each member is responsible for contacting the Local to discuss options for continuing union membership while on LWOP.

Each member is responsible for ensuring that a current physical mailing address is on file and up to date with AFGE to receive important local election materials, including notices and ballots. Updating the address is simple – Learn more.
